She wore a black leather catsuit to play Black Widow in The Avengers, but Scarlett Johansson’s rumoured new role would see her dressing more conservatively.
The 28-year-old is tipped to play Hillary Clinton in the upcoming biopic, Rodham, which will focus on the former Secretary of State’s early career when she was a lawyer in Washington – and her struggle between her work ambitions and relationship with Bill Clinton.
But Scarlett has yet to secure the role – other starlets said to be auditioning for the role include Jessica Chastain, Amanda Seyfried and Reese Witherspoon.
“[We are] very fortunate that a lot of really great actors are interested in playing these roles. We’re in an enviable position,” says director James Ponsoldt.
