They’re expecting their own bundles of joy next year, but Kiwi celebs Casey Green and Honor Carter were quick to share their congratulations to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge on her pregnancy.
Both women took to Twitter to share their well wishes to the Duchess, who is resting up in King Edward VII Hospital in London after suffering from acute morning sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum).
“Exciting news about Kate & William – we seem to be in sync with them around timings of weddings & babies! #mustbeanagething :),” tweeted Honor, who recently announced her own pregnancy.
Fellow All Black wag Casey sent her sympathies about Kate’s illness.
“Yes congrats Kate but you poor little lady! by 22 wks u should get some energy back & even maybe your mind #itsallworthit.”
As the swarming paparazzi camp outside the hospital where Kate is resting up, the Twittersphere is being swamped with well wishes from celebrities.
“Aw so cute! Congrats!!!,” wrote Kim Kardashian. British pop singer Cheryl Cole – who previously admitted to having a crush on Prince William's brother Harry – wrote: ''I'm sooooooo excited that we're having a royal baby !!!! Congratulations to Kate and Wills !!!!!! (sic)''.
Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins added, “What lovely news!! Congratulations to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge!! #PitterPatter (sic).”
“Congrats to Kate & Will on expecting your first child. The happiest day of your life to look forward to,” wrote Sir Richard Branson.
“Will and Kate +1,” tweeted Ryan Seacrest, meanwhile Piers Morgan couldn’t help cracking a few jokes.
“Congratulations to every magazine editor for calling Kate Middleton's pregnancy – especially those who did covers on it 11 months ago,” he wrote, followed by hearing rumours William and Kate are considering Piers as name for their child and “Any chance of the first interview @RoyalFoetus”
William has been by Kate’s side throughout her stay in hospital and was only spotted leaving the hospital at 8.15am UK time. Although palace officials say Kate is in no serious harm, she has been hooked up to an IV drip during her stay to replenish her nutrient and hydration levels after she experienced a severe and sustained bout of vomiting over the weekend.
