My beauty philosophy is...

I believe in lots and lots of quality sleep. It’s also incredibly important to eat well, drink lots of water and smile and laugh a lot. If you do these things, your inner beauty shines through.

The skincare products I can’t live without are...

Nu Skin’s AgeLOC Transformation range (cleanser, toner, day and night moisturiser and particularly the AgeLoc Future Serum). I prefer beauty products that are not heavy on my skin, but it’s important for me to keep it well hydrated to prevent the early onset of wrinkles.

My hair care secret is...

The one downside of working in a kitchen all day is that the smell of food can often linger in my hair. I wash it every day, so it’s important to use a quality product that helps protect it. I use Nu Skin Balancing Shampoo and Rich Conditioner.

The must-have products in my make-up bag are...

I don’t carry make-up in my handbag – I love the natural look and only wear make-up for special occasions. However, I do carry water everywhere I go.

My favourite beauty treat is...

I simply love Dry & Tea in Newmarket. It’s my little treat, especially before going out somewhere special. A quick blow-dry is really affordable and the team there always make me feel like a princess.

My biggest beauty sin is...

Sunblock, sunblock, sunblock. I don’t enjoy wearing it as it makes me feel like I’m putting plastic wrap on my face. But I do know I have to; because of neglect I’m now paying the price with some age spots on my face.

The best thing my mother taught me about beauty was...

When you look after yourself, you will feel good. Most importantly, my mother taught me the importance of manners and warmness of heart – “omotenashi no kokoro” in Japanese.
